Children’s Medical Services Managed Care Plan (CMS Plan)
A Palliative Program for Florida’s Families

Each year, many Florida families go through having a child diagnosed with a life threatening illness. Florida has a program for extra support services for children and adolescents up to age 21. This program helps children and their families get the best care and improve their quality of life.

What is Partners in Care: Together for Kids (PIC:TFK)?

The PIC:TFK program offers specialized palliative care support services. These services can provide comfort for your child and family. You can have these extra services and keep the medical care you have through the CMS Plan. You will get information and support you need to make choices for your child and family. You can keep your CMS doctor and your care coordinator.

What services does PIC:TFK provide?

  • Pain and Symptom Control
  • Nursing Care
  • Personal Care
  • Counseling
  • Play, music and art therapies
  • Respite care
  • Bereavement Support

How do I sign up for PIC:TFK?

Ask your CMS care coordinator to send a referral to your CMS doctor to sign. Once your CMS doctor approves your referral, the PIC:TFK program provider will contact you.

Who provides PIC:TFK services?

PIC:TFK services are provided by local hospices that have met the standards to be a part of the program. Their staff have specialized palliative care training to comfort and support you.
