Emergency Situations
When family emergencies occur, whether it is a mild accident or something worse, they come upon you quickly and sometimes that means you need to quickly be there in the aftermath. A family emergency is something that happens unexpectedly. A family member gets into an accident and is taken to the hospital; there's a death in the family; a child needs to be picked up from school due to illness. This is the type of emergency that can happen suddenly and needs immediate attention.
Make sure your family has a plan in case of an emergency. Before an emergency happens, sit down together and decide how you will get in contact with each other, where you will go and what you will do in an emergency. Keep a copy of this plan in your emergency supply kit or another safe place where you can access it in the event of a disaster.
