Child Protection and Safety Home Page

Children’s Medical Services (CMS) understands that children need a safe, nurturing environment to grow up healthy. That’s why our CMS Division of Prevention and Intervention offers services to children with special health care needs and their families associated with child abuse and neglect. The Division of Prevention and Intervention works to prevent child abuse before it begins by encouraging nurturing relationships between the whole family. The CMS Division of Prevention and Intervention also promotes child and family safety by providing poison prevention information and assistance through the Poison Hotline.
