Social ConnectionsParenting is hard. There are times when all of us need help, advice, support, or just someone to listen. Our society is very mobile and often takes us away from families and friends Some of us are more skilled at establishing new friendships and community connections. Build a social network of emotionally supportive friends, family, and neighbors. You may find that having them there makes it easier to care for your children and yourself. If you don't already have a support network, try looking for opportunities to meet new people though faith-based organizations, schools, hospitals, community centers, and other places in your local community where social groups meet.
