Teratogen Information Services

The TIS Program provides information to health professional on known or suspected medicinal, chemical or environmental agents, which might adversely affect a fetus. The TIS centers are located with the three medical schools at the University of Florida, the University of South Florida, and the University of Miami. Each center has a coordinator who is responsible for updating the teratogen database, and sending information to the patient’s physician.
