Browser Settings

This page runs best with the following browser settings:

Note: AOL subscribers should open Internet Explorer (IE) after connecting to the system, and accessing the modules from IE.

In order to use the system, your personal computer must meet minimum hardware and software requirements.  If these requirements are confusing, check with your local technical support staff to see if they can assist you with these requirements (see below).

Internet Explorer 6 is the leader in performance and user interface quality. Internet Explorer 5, 5.5, or 6 are the recommended web browsers running on Windows NT, 2000, or XP. The following are the combinations of web browser and client operating systems:

* Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher on Windows 98, Windows NT 4, Windows 2000 and Windows XP

* Mozilla, Safari, Opera, and AOL are not supported browsers.

How Do I Change The Screen Resolution?

To change screen resolution, perform the following steps:

  1. Right click on the desktop.
  2. Select Properties from the pop-up menu.
  3. Select the Settings tab on Display Properties window.
  4. Move the Screen Area slider to 800 x 600 resolution (or higher).
  5. To close the Display Properties window, click OK.
  6. Click OK on Display Properties confirmation dialog box.



How Do I Enable JavaScript In Internet Explorer 5.x?

To enable JavaScript in Internet Explorer 5.x, perform the following steps:
  1. From Internet Explorer's Tools menu, click Internet Options.
  2. Within the Internet Options window, under the Security tab, click Custom Level.
  3. Within the Security Settings window, scroll to Scripting.
  4. From Active Scripting, click to select Enable.
  5. To close the Security Settings window, click OK.
  6. To close the Internet Options window, click OK.



How Do I Enable Java In Internet Explorer 5.x?

To enable Java in Internet Explorer 5.x, perform the following steps:
  1. From Internet Explorer's Tools menu, click Internet Options.
  2. Within the Internet Options window, under the Security tab, click Custom Level.
  3. Within the Security Settings window, scroll to Microsoft VM.
  4. From Java Permissions, click to select anything other than Disable Java.
  5. Now, scroll Security Settings window to Scripting.
  6. From Scripting of Java Applets, click to select Enable.
  7. To close the Security Settings window, click OK.
  8. To close the Internet Options window, click OK.
NOTE: ONLY if your browser is not Java Enabled, you can Download Java Plug-in Link opens in a new window from Sun Microsystems web site. Generally, you will not have install this plug-in unless you are using Microsoft's XP operating system (or later).


Remember: You must have access to the Internet and have an email address to enroll as a provider and access the required on-line training modules.
