The Broward County Child Protection Team is housed and administered by the Broward County Sexual Assault Treatment Center (SATC). In addition to CPT services, SATC provides the following services; 24/7 crisis counseling/medical examinations for victims of sexual assault, sexual assault/abuse counseling, and supervised visitation. SATC was awarded CAC full membership in the summer of 2003.

The Broward County Child Protection Team serves as consultants to the Broward Sheriff's Office Protective Investigation Section. CPT assists the BSO Protective Investigators in their investigation of child abuse. CPT receives referrals from BSO Protective Investigators and Law Enforcement on children who have been reported to the Florida Abuse Registry. CPT provides a variety of serves such as: medical examinations, medical consultations, psychosocial assessments, specialized interviews, forensic interviews, psychological evaluations, consultations, and staffings.
