The, Lakeland,
Tampa and St. Petersburg CMS offices comprise a region that serves CMS
patients in Polk, Highlands, Hardee, Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas counties. Through regionalization, children and families are offered a
broad access to care through established partnerships in the
communities. These partnerships provide specialty clinical care and
unique services to patients and families.
Our partners include University of South Florida, Department of
Pediatrics which offers a spectrum of specialty care programs; The Tampa
Children's Hospital at St. Joseph's which houses a CMS satellite office
; All Children's Hospital which provides clinics in each regional office
area and houses CMS staff; Shriner's Hospital which provides orthopedic
care; and the Tampa General Hospital Regional Burn Center which is the
largest burn center for children in the state. In addition, the region
has two Regional Perinatal Intensive Care Centers and two Level III
Neonatal Units outside of the RPICC Centers.
Additional collaboration with University of South Florida, College of
Public Health, through Ryan White grants has provided additional funding
for positions in the HIV CMS programs.
The CMS-Tampa office serves as the hub for the Craniofacial and
HIV Centers and conducts other specialty outreach clinics serving CMS
patients from Naples, Fort Myers, and Sarasota.
The CMS-Tampa Medical Foster Care Program is the largest in the state
and has the capacity to serve over 100 patients.
