The 50 member staff of the CMS Ft. Lauderdale office is committed to providing excellent care to the over 3000 special needs children that they serve. The staff includes registered nurses, who provide the care coordination, social workers, billing personnel, clerical support and a nutritionist.  The CMS Ft. Lauderdale network is comprised of a vast array of public and private providers, approved by CMS, who specialize in pediatric care for children with special health care needs. Approximately 20 subspecialty clinics are conducted each month at the CMS office, staffed by local private physicians, also approved by CMS.

 CMS Ft. Lauderdale is in the fortunate position of being the area office for two top rated children's hospitals, Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital and the Chris Evert's Children's Hospital, which allows them to tap into their resources and expertise. In addition, CMS Ft. Lauderdale, in partnership with Broward County, operates the only children's special needs shelter in the state of Florida.
